Questions

Frequently asked questions

The things people ask us most. If your question is not here, write to us — we answer every message.

When is your first litter expected?
Our first litter is expected late 2026 to early 2027. Oliver and Siobhan are still growing up, and we will not breed them a day earlier than they are ready.
What will the kittens look like?
We expect mostly golden corin black tabbies like Siobhan, with the possibility of some traditional black tabbies. In the future we hope to add a Neva Masquerade queen so we can raise colourpoint kittens as well.
How does the waitlist work?
Write to us with a little about your home, other animals, whether you would like a boy or a girl, and any pattern preference. Kittens are matched to the best-fitting home by temperament rather than first-come-first-serve.
What health testing do you do?
Both parents' lines are PKD, FIV, FeLV and HCM negative, and Oliver and Siobhan's own testing will be completed before their first litter. Full records travel with every kitten.
What age do kittens go home?
Kittens leave at twelve weeks — vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, litter-confident, desexed and used to a carrier.
Are Siberians hypoallergenic?
No cat is truly hypoallergenic, but Siberians tend to produce less Fel d 1 protein than most breeds, and many allergy sufferers live comfortably with them. We always recommend spending time with the breed before committing.
Are your cats indoor cats?
Yes. Our cats are raised inside the house alongside our Samoyed, Romeo, and we ask that kittens go to indoor or securely enclosed homes.
Do you ship kittens?
We prefer to deliver kittens within the Otago region. For homes further away we can discuss a safe travel option.
What if things change and I can no longer keep my cat?
We offer a take-back guarantee for the whole of your cat's life. Whatever happens and whenever it happens, they can always come home to us.
